You’ll find Le Petit Bois next to the Ardèche River, fringed by towering forests and deep limestone gorges. A secluded 4* parc with an appealing sense of calm – just a short distance from the charming medieval town of Ruoms.
We love how far it feels from the main trail, a rural escape with everything you need just a short stroll away. There’s a wide range of local specialities and child-friendly European dishes at the parc’s La Voile Blanche restaurant. Prefer to relax in your holiday home? You can pick up supplies at the mini market or order a loaf of oven-fresh bread delivered direct to your door.
When it comes to parc activities, you can get your body moving at the parc’s yoga and group aerobics sessions. There’s a fun and friendly children’s club, where your little ones are bound to make new friends. And, if you’re feeling active, there’s football, basketball, volleyball and badminton. Work up a sweat, then retreat to your home from home to soak up the privacy and peace.

Whatever your age, we think you’ll find something you love – whether that’s whizzing down a water slide or soaking up the blissful south-of-France sun on the spacious terrace.

Make the most of your time on parc, where you can have a delicious meal with a multitude of Brittany’s gastronomic specialities, which are on the menu. Your parc’s cooking is renowned for the freshness and the unmatched quality of its seafood, so do try a platter of Cancale oysters, splashed with lemon juice or a French shallot dressing. From the chef’s specialities, you must try the famous buckwheat pancakes accompanied by a glass of delightful dry cider. If you prefer to make the most of the comfort of your accommodation the snack bar also offers you a takeaway menu including our chef’s own delicious pizzas. At the end of the day, make the most of the Breton dolce vita by drinking a cocktail at the restaurant bar, and sip it on the indoor terrace, opening directly onto the pools of the aquatic area.

Local area
The lush Ardèche region is in the southeast of France, an area famed for its rolling hills, forests, gorges and centuries-old villages. It’s also home to one of the most celebrated natural wonders in the whole of France – the Gorges de l’Ardèche.
Ruoms is the closest town. You’ll find it in the Lower Vivarais, a celebrated wine-growing region on the banks of the Beaume, Line and Chassezac. Ruoms itself is a joy to wander round, filled with medieval history and character. Why stop at simply sightseeing, though? You’ve come all this way and it would be rude not take a wine tour – or two!
