Les Vignes is in Landes, a much-loved area of southwestern France famed for its tall pine trees and Atlantic beaches. The local area is paradise for fans of the great outdoors and you’ll find plenty of cycle paths around the parc for getting out and exploring. Cap-de-l'Homy beach is an easy five kilometres’ ride away. If you’re up for heading further afield, the beach Vielle Saint Girons is a 12 kilometre cycle.

The parc is also close to the coastal village of Lit-et-Mixe, nicknamed ‘la Grande Dame du Marensin’. Its pretty centre is a treasure trove for history fans – head to the church of Notre Dame de Lit or the Landes d’Antan Museum (Landes of yesteryear), dedicated to the history of the region.
