Tarragona
A historic seaside gem
Located just an hour south of Barcelona, Tarragona is a beautiful Unesco World Heritage City with a characterful and vibrant mix of incredible history, culture and beaches.
Bathed in balmy Costa Dorada sunshine, there’s Roman ruins aplenty to explore, interesting museums and terrific restaurants. The region’s also known for its festivals: the Sant Magí in August and the Santa Tecla in September both of which feature parades, pyrotechnics and the town’s signature 'human pyramids'.

Why we love the area

Wander the Rambla Nova - a beautiful boulevard through the heart of the city
The two tier Pont del Diable viaduct is a remarkable feat of Roman engineering
Historic Reus is less than 20 minutes away while the seaside resort of Salou is also nearby
